Unload Off-Road marks the first official event by the 9th Xseed Executive Committee. In the midst of the recess week, 26 XSeeders decided to take a break from their hectic schedules and headed out to JB to unload their bullets and drive off the road!
Despite the ridiculously early reporting time, everyone was ready and eager to start their paintball matches. After dressing up in our ‘armour’ (aka our army uniform), we loaded up our paintball markers and off we went into the battlefield of pain(t)!
Here’s a brief explanation of how paintball works for those new to the game. Any hit to the head or upper torso by the opposing team, excluding the arms, will get the player out of the game. The team with all the players eliminated first will lose the match. With that in mind, everyone tried their best to avoid pain(t)ful shots and squarely headed on to their enemy’s base to take them out.
Even the neck is not spared from anyone’s path to victory!
As a famous saying goes, “Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” Introducing the group that lost all their paintball matches but still held their heads up high! Fear not, mates! Fun is all that matters, right?
Auto Terrain Vehicle (ATV) is a relatively new sport introduced in XSeed but the response was great! Even non-experienced drivers can race down the roads, over large rocks and branches, into the wilderness of JB!
Living up to the XSeed’s name, some of our XSeeders really did xseed their limits and literally drove off the road. Thankfully, our patient instructor was there to assist us all the time. Ask (or scream) and you shall receive!
After all the pellets were used up, it was time to wash up! Thereafter, we headed over to Taman Sentosa for a nice, fulfilling dinner to end off our day.
Of course, while waiting for everyone to finish packing up, card games kept everyone entertained and bonded even further.
Everyone had a scrumptious meal at Taman Sentosa at unbelievably cheap prices to regain all the calories lost from all the running from the day’s activities. Yumz!
Despite all the bruises and exhaustion, new friendships were formed and old bonds were strengthened. Thank you all for coming down to Unload Off-Road 2015 and do look out for any new upcoming XSeed events. We hope to see you again!
